Caution - You shouldnever look at the sun through any optical instrument unless it is correctly filtered or is specifically designed to do so.
Coronado PST images
It has taken a while, not least because the PST is not the easiest instrument in the world to image with. So far we have only managed some prime focus images using the Phillips ToUcam PRO ll.
Orion Apex images
A few images taken using the Apex 102mm and a webcam...
June 8th 2004 Transit of Venus
All images were taken from Emma's back garden using a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000, our 3" refractor and a (BAADER AstroSolar Safety film) solar filter - with iced coffee on tap! The Weather here at Chatteris, Cambridgeshire couldn't have been better other than being slightly hampered by thin cloud towards the end of the event.
Note:- Due to our particular set-up the images are mirrored and therefore in the following sequence Venus appears to move from right to left across the suns disk.
If you have an image that you would like us to include in our contributors section then you can sendit to us at admin@seeviewo.org
