Welcome to the SVO AstroCam page brought to you by
AstroShop.
Our
first featured event was the transit of Venus on 8th June 2004.
We transmitted live images of the planet's transit across the Sun, some
of which can now be viewed on our Images page.
The
next major event we will be covering will be the Total Eclipse of
the Moon on 3rd/4th March 2007, when we will be transmitting live images
from Cambridgeshire.
At our
location the eclipse starts approx 20:16 UT (GMT) on the 3rd and ends at
02.25 UT (GMT) on the 4th with totality starting at approx 22.44 UT
(GMT) and lasting just over an hour. Please note these are approximate
times, so log in earlier to ensure you don't miss anything.
We will be broadcasting continuously from approx 20.10 UT (GMT) until
just afer the eclipse ends.
BST starts on 25th of March, so the times
for this event will not be affected.
